Self Promotion and Your Home Business
This is the fun part!!! Follow my free marketing tips....use your e-mails to your advantage to promote your site. Your signature on your e-mails works great!!! This is what my says:
Internet, virtual businesses are great!!! Don't be shy ladies use that car magnet on your vehicle to advertise your website business!!! Advertise while you drive!!! Remember, this is a website business, totally virtual... you don't have to leave your address or phone number out there if you don't want to.
My guy, Jack, placed our website advertising magnet for "Goosey's Place" on the back of his truck. He is a roofer and drives all over Northern Virginia every day, which includes Alexandria, Falls Church, Vienna, Arlington, Fairfax, and even as far as Washington D.C. .......he's so sweet!!! Love ya babe! Thank goodness for our Constitutional Rights!!!.
Jack and I had some real difficulties with self-promotion of our website, in real time of course. We are receiving site hits, but most of the time we can not tell where they are coming from. I believe we have this issue resolved. We are going to use our public libraries to periodically check the areas where we promote our website business.

Oh, and one more note.......in rare instances you may not be able to see your statistics because of maintenance upgrades. You can always depend on your sales affliate programs to let you know if you are getting site activity. My sales affliate programs are very good about showing the number of clicks and my site activity.
You definitely want to go out and check the areas where you promote your website. Our public libaries are wonderful and will be happy to give you access to the internet to view your site. At your local county libraries, you may not be able to check the activity of your site. If you run into this type of self-promotion problem when checking your website, just remember:

I'm really happy (and exhausted) to have completed my research on website self-promotion and advertising. This was one of the hardest obstacles of my mentorship program. I had a lot of running around to do..........that's for sure. Thank you very much for your patience. We needed to get this right!
Use your business cards where ever you go, one here, one there....it all adds up! You can just put your business cards down and leave them anywhere you go. They are really inexpensive at Vista Print.
This is what I really enjoy!! At Potomac Mills Mall they have the Milers Club every weekday from 8 to 10 pm.

There are a lot of other Moms walking with their little ones; and it's a great place to share ideas!!! Personally, I like getting out of the office and stretching my legs a bit. :o)
I was invited to go roller skating next week........haven't been rolling skating in years; but I know I will enjoy it!!! Taking my business cards with me!!
